Over the years there has been a Cropwell Butler Cricket Club and a Cropwell Bishop Cricket Club. However, until 2010 neither club has exsisted for some time, at that point some bright spark decided they would like to start playing cricket on the Sheldon Field in Cropwell Butler (previously only used for football). Within a short space of time, new players were attracted from Cropwell Butler and the neighbouring village of Cropwell Bishop, a decision was then made to form a new team called - Cropwell Cricket Club.

We now play throughout the summer on a Sunday afternoon, against fellow friendly teams in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Our membership ranges from age 13 up to old!!!! We encourage new members, whatever their standard.
